About GEE
We are a global non-profit association comprising industry experts with a shared interest in promoting business excellence. Established in the UK in 2016, our association, the GEE, has rapidly expanded worldwide to collaborate with businesses in their pursuit of business excellence. Through collaboration with industry experts, we have successfully created and implemented the Benchmark in Excellence Criteria (BEC)© & Product Sustainability Rating (PSR)©. These tools empower businesses to implement, assess, and sustain initiatives for business excellence, covering aspects such as housekeeping, productivity, quality, profitability, sustainability, innovation, environment, health & safety, business ethics, and corporate social responsibility.
Unlike conventional management system certifications and standards that provide a foundational framework, BEC requires companies to actively work towards and demonstrate excellence in their specific field. These criteria are adaptable for adoption by any organization, regardless of size, business nature, or complexity. It’s crucial to note that BEC & PSR are not mandatory; they are voluntary initiatives that prioritize education and improvement over enforcement.
Key Features & Difference From International Standards
- Applicable for any legal business entity across the globe, low cost and simple evaluation process.
- Stringent norms to ensure that businesses who achieve these Benchmarks are really eligible are awarded. These are based on performance and maturity, and mere implementation does not make an organisation eligible for the award.
- Each criterion has a maturity model as follows:
1. Gold – Minimum 3 months of implementation and consistent performance
2. Platinum – Minimum 12 months of implementation and consistent performance.
3. Titanium – Minimum 24 months of implementation and consistent performance. - Industry participation and feedback is used to develop and continuously enhance these standards and criteria.
- Evaluations are done by industry experts and hence ensure effectiveness and value addition
